My Favorite Blogs, Podcasts, and Authors to Follow in 2025

As we kick off 2025 (doesn’t that just roll off the tongue?), I thought it would be fun to share some of my favorite blogs, podcasts, and authors. If you’re looking for voices rooted in solid theology, I hope this list provides helpful direction. These individuals have deeply influenced me over the past few years, and I look forward to continuing to learn from them.

Of course, this is not an exhaustive list, and I’m confident many of you are already familiar with these names. But these are the people and resources that have been most impactful to me recently. If you have recommendations I’ve missed, I’d love to hear about them in the comments!

Let’s dive in.

Alisa Childers

Alisa has been a consistent voice in apologetics and biblical truth. She boldly engages with tough topics and encourages believers to stand firm in their faith.

  • Blog: Although she hasn’t posted new content since 2022, her archives are rich with timeless insights.
  • Podcast: My favorite way to engage with Alisa’s podcast is by watching on YouTube. Her interviews and deep dives are always worth the listen.
  • Books: Alisa’s books, like Another Gospel, are excellent resources for defending the Christian faith against cultural confusion.

Melissa Dougherty

Melissa’s approach to theology and apologetics is refreshing, often tackling topics you might not expect but that are always practical, helpful, and, oftentimes, sprinkled with a little humor.

  • Podcast: Melissa’s podcast episodes are packed with thoughtful, biblical wisdom.
  • YouTube: Her channel offers a mix of interviews, short videos, and podcast episodes. It’s a great resource for thoughtful, engaging content.
  • Book: Her upcoming book, Happy Lies (releasing January 28, 2025), is at the top of my reading list for the year!

Owen is a bold voice in theology, unafraid to tackle the pressing issues of our time with biblical clarity. Fun fact: he’s also a cousin-in-law to my pastor! Owen recently preached at our church, and it was excellent.

  • Substack: His writing here is always rich and thought-provoking.
  • Facebook: A great way to stay updated on his latest content and engagements.

Justin Peters

Justin Peters’ ministry has been a lifeline for those seeking clarity on false teachings, especially within the Word of Faith movement. His balanced, scripture-saturated approach is deeply encouraging.
